Cosmos airs first promo

During the World Series on Saturday, FOX debuted the first promo for Cosmos, the highly anticipated 13 episode reboot of the Carl Sagan classic.

Thankfully, Neil deGrasse Tyson also tweeted about this promo, because there’s no way I’d ever be tuned into baseball. Thank you, internet.

Although not nearly as awesome as the sneak peek that debuted at Comic Con earlier this year, it still looks…wonderful. Enjoy.

  1. Sweet! Thanks for sharing this. I’m going to be watching the heck out of that show. (Although I admit I’ve never seen the original Cosmos. I have seen and read pieces from it.)

Should the new series be called a reboot or a sequel?

  2. I’m pretty excited. They’ve been calling it a reboot because they’re somewhat revamping it…Obviously, Carl Sagan can’t host it so Neil deGrasse Tyson will be, but they’re also trying to craft it in away that will appeal to a wider audience, instead of just those of us interested in science. Another fun fact: Seth McFarlane produced it alongside Sagan’s widow, Ann Druyan.
