Parks & Rec discreetly put on hiatus

I’ve become immune to NBC breaking my heart, whether they’re beating old favorites till they’re dead or threatening to cancel Community. Although brutal, those tragedies and many other unfavorable choices came with a small piece of justification.

But this. This is just wrong.

If you’ve peeked at their schedule for the next 2 weeks, you’ve noticed the absence of Parks & Rec, arguably the only great comedy they have on air. The reasoning behind this disappearance lacks much logic, the network simply wants its viewers to give newer comedies a chance. Yeah, right.

The show is expected to return with a couple of episodes in November, and continue its second half during the Spring. If this happens to be the last season, I will literally be heartbroken.
